Places & Spaces: Artist Village, Santa Ana

The Artist Village is a little corner of happiness and historical buildings located off Broadway and 1st street in downtown Santa Ana. I was there earlier this week for a "just for fun" photo-shoot with my sissy, T-Bear . (That's not her name, but she should consider changing it, in my opinion.) Anyway, the Artist Village  is the place to shoot if you want diverse backgrounds without having to drive to different locations (much like this other place). What can I say? I like to save time and gas... The less driving, the better, right?

The good news:
 -Beautiful backgrounds
-Amazing details
-You can eat at my favorite corner cafe, Gypsy Den afterward. (I'm sure they would let you take pictures inside too.)

The bad news:
- Parking is limited and metered. Boo!
-I would not recommend a female photographer going there alone, especially in the alleys. It's a little shady.
-Expect spectators, lame comments, and interference of every kind. (Lots of characters walking by!)

Here's a map:

You're welcome,
